Stool test could change Follow-Up for colon cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT04624555

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a stool test that checks for certain DNA markers can find polyps or cancer in people who have already had colorectal cancer. About 50 adults with stage I to III colon or rectal cancer will take the stool test and then have a colonoscopy to compare results. The goal is to see if the stool test works well enough to be used for routine follow-up instead of colonoscopy.
