Stool test could change Follow-Up for colon cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT04624555

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a stool test that checks for certain DNA markers can find polyps or cancer in people who have already had colorectal cancer. About 50 survivors with stage I to III cancer will take the stool test and then have a colonoscopy to see how well the stool test works. The goal is to see if the stool test is a good and acceptable option for regular check-ups instead of always needing a colonoscopy.
