NCT ID NCT05812339
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called Gastric Alimetry that maps the stomach's electrical activity using a sticker-like patch. Researchers will compare readings from 200 healthy adults and people with stomach motility problems to establish normal ranges and see how signals relate to symptoms. Participants fast, eat a standard meal, and wear the patch for 4 hours while reporting any discomfort. No treatment is given—this is purely to improve diagnosis and understanding of conditions like gastroparesis and functional dyspepsia.
