Stomach electricity tracker could change gut diagnosis
NCT ID NCT05812339
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called Gastric Alimetry that maps the stomach's electrical activity using stickers on the belly. About 200 adults—some healthy and some with stomach problems like gastroparesis or nausea—will wear the device while eating a meal and resting for 4 hours. The goal is to see if the device is safe and reliable, and to learn what normal stomach signals look like. No treatment is given; this is only a measurement study.
