Can a simple talk before surgery prevent stoma problems?

NCT ID NCT06881303

Summary

This study aims to see if teaching patients about their future stoma (a surgically created bowel opening) before surgery leads to fewer complications and a better quality of life. Researchers will observe 100 adults who need this type of surgery, comparing those who receive pre-surgery education with those who do not. The main goal is to measure differences in stoma-related quality of life one month after the operation.
