New gel fights bone infection in bedsores – trial underway

Summary
This study tests a special antibiotic-releasing bead (STIMULAN VG) placed into the wound after surgery to treat bone infections linked to severe bedsores. About 60 adults will receive either the bead plus standard antibiotics or standard care alone. The goal is to see if the bead helps wounds close and heal faster.
