First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study tested a highly targeted radiation therapy (stereotactic radiotherapy) for small kidney cancers (4 cm or less). The goal was to find the safest high dose that can destroy the tumor while protecting healthy tissue. Thirteen patients were treated with different radiation schedules and monitored for side effects over 5 years. This approach offers a non-invasive, quick alternative to surgery for certain patients.
