Radiation before chemo: a new hope for High-Risk breast cancer?
NCT ID NCT03978663
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving a small, focused dose of radiation to the tumor before standard chemotherapy can improve treatment for people with high-risk or locally advanced breast cancer. The radiation is meant to 'prime' the immune system to fight the cancer better. About 40 participants will receive this approach, and researchers will measure how many have no cancer cells left after treatment.
