First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests a new approach called STEP2, which uses online symptom screening to decide which advanced cancer patients need a palliative care referral. It compares this targeted method to giving everyone a routine referral. The goal is to see if STEP2 works just as well at improving quality of life, while saving resources. About 652 adults with stage IV cancer are taking part.
