First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking out a ureteral stent (a small tube placed after kidney stone surgery) after 3 days instead of the usual 7 days can reduce bothersome symptoms like pain and urinary issues. About 172 adults having uncomplicated stone treatment will be randomly assigned to have the stent removed at 3 or 7 days. The goal is to find the safest shortest time to improve comfort without increasing risks.
