Stem cell shot tested to help COPD patients breathe easier
NCT ID NCT07441226
Summary
This study is testing whether stem cells from umbilical cords can help people with severe COPD when added to their standard inhaler medications. Participants will receive two intravenous infusions of either stem cells or a placebo while continuing their usual treatment. Researchers will monitor lung function, walking ability, and quality of life over 12 months to see if the stem cells provide additional benefits.
