Stem cell shot tested to help severe lung disease

Summary
This study is testing whether adding stem cell injections to standard medication helps people with severe COPD. Twenty patients already on triple-inhaler therapy will receive either umbilical cord stem cells or a placebo. Researchers will monitor lung function, walking ability, and quality of life for a year to see if the stem cells improve symptoms and are safe.
