Stem cell hope for kids with fragile bones
NCT ID NCT05559801
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether infusions of donor stem cells are safe and might help children with a severe form of brittle bone disease (Type 3 Osteogenesis Imperfecta). The goal is to see if these cells can improve the children's growth rate and bone strength. The study will enroll up to 12 children, aged 3 to 10, who will receive six infusions over two years while continuing their standard bone-strengthening medication.
