Could your own stem cells stop chest pain?

NCT ID NCT05711849

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether stem cells taken from your own bone marrow and injected into heart arteries can reduce chest pain and improve daily life for people with refractory angina. About 110 adults with severe, ongoing chest pain despite standard treatments will be randomly assigned to receive either the real stem cell procedure or a sham (fake) procedure. Neither you nor your doctor will know which group you are in, ensuring fair results.
