First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding umbilical cord stem cells to standard care can improve lung function and quality of life for people with severe COPD. Twenty adults aged 40-75 who are already on triple inhaler therapy will receive either stem cells or a placebo intravenously. Researchers will monitor them for one year to check safety and measure breathing tests, exercise ability, and inflammation.
