Scientists transplant Lab-Grown heart cells in bid to repair damaged hearts

NCT ID NCT04945018

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether transplanting lab-grown heart muscle cells can help people with severe heart failure caused by previous heart attacks. Ten participants will receive either a low or high dose of these cells, then take immune-suppressing drugs to prevent rejection. Researchers will monitor safety and check if heart function improves over one year.
