First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a nerve block injection (stellate ganglion block) in 68 adults with fibromyalgia who still had pain despite taking duloxetine. Participants received either the real injection or a sham (fake) procedure. The goal was to see if the injection could reduce pain and improve daily function. Results showed whether this treatment provides meaningful relief beyond a placebo.
