Simpler bypass surgery may reduce side effects after Weight-Loss procedure
NCT ID NCT07115836
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study compares two types of weight-loss surgery (standard bypass vs. a simpler single-loop bypass) in people who have already had a partial stomach removal (parietal gastrectomy) but still have obesity or have regained weight. The goal is to see if the simpler surgery causes fewer digestive and nutritional problems, even if it leads to slightly less weight loss. About 63 adults will take part, and the study is already underway but not recruiting new participants.
