Step up your health: stair walking may beat brisk walking for blood pressure

NCT ID NCT06952348

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding stair climbing to daily routines can lower blood pressure more than brisk walking alone. It includes 450 adults aged 35+ who have high blood pressure, are overweight, and are not very active. Participants will be split into three groups: stair walking plus brisk walking, brisk walking only, or standard lifestyle advice. The goal is to find a simple, low-cost way to improve heart health.
