Squat science: does going deeper build better jumps?
NCT ID NCT07543237
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at how different squat depths (partial, parallel, and full) affect leg muscle activation and jump performance. Fourteen healthy, experienced exercisers did squats at each depth while their muscle activity was measured, and their jump height was tested before and after. The goal was to see which squat depth best activates key leg muscles and boosts explosive power.
