First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether leaving a tooth root fragment (socket shield) and letting the gum heal naturally works as well as adding bone graft material before placing a dental implant. Twenty-four healthy adults with good oral hygiene took part. The goal was to see if the natural healing approach could be a dependable option for delayed implant placement.
