Summary

This study looks at whether a short teaching session helps people who have had their spleen removed understand their higher risk for serious infections and the importance of vaccines. About 100 adults will get one-on-one education during a hospital stay. Researchers will measure changes in knowledge and how satisfied patients are with their vaccine care.
