NCT ID NCT07483177

First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether spironolactone, a medication often used for heart failure, can reduce stiffness in the aorta (the main artery) in people with a thoracic aortic aneurysm. The goal is to see if it can help control the disease and lower the risk of dangerous complications. Fifty adults with an enlarged aorta will receive either spironolactone or a placebo for a short period, and researchers will measure changes in artery stiffness and blood pressure.
