New combo attack on spine cancer
NCT ID NCT05204290
Summary
This early-stage study tested whether combining a precise form of radiation (radiosurgery) with an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) was safe and feasible for people with cancer that had spread to the spine. The main goal was to see if patients could complete both treatments. Researchers also looked at whether the treatment could shrink tumors to relieve pressure on the spinal cord, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.
