New combo attack on spine cancer

NCT ID NCT05204290

Summary

This early-stage study tested whether combining a precise form of radiation (radiosurgery) with an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) is safe and feasible for people with aggressive spinal tumors. The main goal was to see if patients could complete both treatments. Researchers also wanted to measure if the treatment reduced pain, improved quality of life, and shrank the tumors to relieve pressure on the spinal cord.
