First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether a surgically implanted device that sends electrical pulses to the spinal cord, combined with daily rehab, can improve walking in people with chronic spinal cord injury. Twelve participants with partial paralysis will be followed for a year to check safety and walking gains. The goal is to see if this approach can restore some movement and independence.
