First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aims to understand the nerve connections that remain in veterans with chronic spinal cord injury. Researchers will use MRI scans and non-invasive stimulation to map these connections and see if they can improve function. The goal is to identify which veterans might benefit from future treatments like spinal stimulation. Forty veterans with injuries older than one year will participate.
