Shocking space suit fights astronaut muscle loss
NCT ID NCT06492057
Summary
This study is testing a special full-body suit that uses mild electrical stimulation to help astronauts' muscles during exercise on the International Space Station. The goal is to see if this 'EMS' suit can better prevent muscle weakening and stiffness caused by living in zero gravity. Eight astronauts will wear the suit during their missions, and researchers will compare their muscle health to astronauts who did not use the suit.
