Shocking space suit aims to keep Astronauts' muscles strong

NCT ID NCT06492057

Summary

This study is testing a special full-body suit that uses mild electrical stimulation on astronauts living on the International Space Station. The goal is to see if adding this stimulation to their regular exercise routine helps keep their muscles healthier and stronger during long missions in zero gravity. Researchers will measure muscle stiffness and strength in eight astronauts and compare the results to astronauts who did not use the suit.
