Summary

This study tests a drug called sovateltide for newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), a serious brain injury from lack of oxygen at birth. The drug aims to help the brain repair itself and reduce the risk of death or long-term disability. About 40 full-term babies will receive either the drug or a placebo, and researchers will track their development for 6 months.
