Can soothing nighttime sounds calm epileptic brains?

NCT ID NCT03198494

Summary

This study is testing whether playing very low, gentle sounds through headphones during sleep can help reduce epileptic seizures and abnormal brain activity. Researchers are working with adults who have frequent nighttime seizures to see if this sound therapy is practical for home use and if it makes a difference. The goal is to develop a non-drug approach that people can use every night to better control their epilepsy.
