New hope for lung cancer patients: targeted drug sotorasib tested as first therapy

Summary
This study tests whether the drug sotorasib is safe and effective as the first treatment for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific genetic change called KRAS G12C. About 39 adults who have not yet received any treatment for their advanced cancer will take sotorasib and be monitored with CT scans every 6 weeks. The goal is to see how well the drug controls the cancer.
