New ultrasound technique could spot liver cancer sooner in High-Risk patients
NCT ID NCT07590284
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study aims to see if using a contrast-enhanced ultrasound called Sonazoid CEUS can detect early-stage liver cancer (HCC) better than standard ultrasound in people with liver cirrhosis. About 556 participants with cirrhosis will receive both types of ultrasound every 4 to 6 months, along with regular blood tests and yearly CT or MRI scans. The goal is to compare how many early cancers each method finds.
