First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking a soluble corn fiber supplement for one year could improve bone health in healthy adolescents aged 10-13. Participants were randomly assigned to receive the fiber supplement, with or without extra calcium, or a placebo. The goal was to see if this simple dietary addition could help prevent osteoporosis later in life by increasing bone mineral content.
