Fat vs. fibrin: which graft wins for dental implant success?

NCT ID NCT07562334

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a piece of fat from the cheek (buccal pad of fat) works as well as a blood-derived membrane (platelet-rich fibrin) to thicken the gums around zygomatic implants. It involves 24 adults with severe upper jaw bone loss who need these special implants. The main goal is to see which method gives better gum thickness and fewer complications.
