Summary

This study tested a 6-week program called T-VIDA, where seniors in a housing community met with an occupational therapist via Zoom and joined group sessions to increase physical activity. The program also involved respected community members to encourage participation. With only 8 participants, the goal was to see if this approach is feasible and helpful for reducing physical inactivity.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Tele-Video to Improve Daily Activity (T-VIDA) program
What this could lead to
If successful, this approach could offer a practical way to help older adults become more active and reduce physical inactivity.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study with only 8 participants, so results may not apply to larger groups. The program's effectiveness is still uncertain.
