MS Patients' social struggles traced in brain scans

NCT ID NCT02290587

First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study used brain scans to understand why people with multiple sclerosis (MS) sometimes have trouble with social thinking, like understanding others' feelings. Researchers compared 35 adults with relapsing-remitting MS to healthy volunteers. No treatment was given; the goal was simply to learn more about how MS changes the brain's social networks.
