New therapy tackles smoking and mental health together for people with HIV
NCT ID NCT03904186
Summary
This study tested a 9-session therapy program designed to help people living with HIV quit smoking. The program specifically addresses anxiety and depression, which are common challenges that can make quitting harder. Researchers compared this therapy to standard care and another active treatment to see which approach was most effective at helping participants stop smoking and improve their mental health.
