New study aims to help smokers quit and catch lung cancer early

Summary
This study looks at whether adding smoking cessation programs to low-dose CT scans for lung cancer helps more people quit smoking. About 1200 smokers aged 50-74 will be randomly assigned to different methods. The goal is to see which approach works best for quitting and early cancer detection.
