First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding low-dose CT scans for lung cancer to smoking cessation programs helps more people quit smoking. About 1,200 smokers aged 50-74 who smoke heavily will be split into groups to compare different methods. The goal is to see if the combination leads to higher quit rates and earlier cancer detection.
