Your phone could soon help doctors spot circulation problems
NCT ID NCT07473869
Summary
This study is testing a new smartphone app designed to measure how quickly color returns to a pressed fingertip, a sign of blood flow called capillary refill time. Doctors currently do this by eye, which can vary between observers. The research will involve 60 adult patients in intensive care to see if the app's automated measurement matches the assessments made by expert clinicians. The goal is to create a more consistent and reliable tool for monitoring patients' circulation.
