Your phone could soon help doctors spot circulation problems
NCT ID NCT07473869
Summary
This study is testing a new smartphone app designed to measure how quickly blood returns to a fingertip after pressure is applied, a sign called capillary refill time. Doctors currently do this by eye, but the app aims to provide a more consistent, automated measurement. The research will involve 60 adult patients in intensive care to see if the app's readings match those taken by trained medical staff.
