First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding a low-dose chemotherapy drug to radiation before surgery could boost the immune system's ability to fight mesothelioma, a rare cancer of the lung lining. Thirty adults with good overall health took part. After surgery, some also received two immunotherapy drugs to help prevent the cancer from coming back. The goal was to see if the combination was safe and effective.
