First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested a simple breathing test called impulse oscillometry (IOS) in 38 people with COPD during a flare-up and again 6-12 weeks later when they felt better. The test measured how well small airways were working and showed clear improvements during recovery. Researchers hope this tool can help doctors better assess COPD flare-ups in the future.
