First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether slow, yogic breathing exercises can affect heart rate and blood pressure in people with spinal cord injury (SCI). Seventeen adults who use wheelchairs and are medically stable took part. Researchers measured heart rate variability, blood pressure, and oxygen levels during different breathing patterns to see if these exercises are safe and beneficial for the cardiovascular system.
