First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) can also reduce pain and problems in the jaw and face (temporomandibular disorders, or TMD). Researchers examined 40 adults with OSA before they started any treatment and again after at least 18 months of therapy. The goal was to see if better sleep leads to less jaw pain and dysfunction.
