Nightly massage device tested to clear brain waste in sleep apnea
NCT ID NCT07301762
Summary
This small Mayo Clinic study is testing whether a nightly automated massage device can help the brain's natural cleaning system work better in people with sleep apnea. Researchers will enroll 12 adults who already use CPAP machines to see if one month of this therapy changes certain blood markers related to brain health. The goal is to gather early evidence about whether improving lymphatic drainage could potentially reduce future risks for brain diseases.
