First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study followed over 200 sleep apnea patients from a large European database to see what health problems they developed over time, such as heart issues, diabetes, cancers, or death. Researchers also checked whether using a CPAP machine (the standard treatment) affected these outcomes. The goal was to better understand the long-term risks of sleep apnea and the real-world impact of treatment.
