New program aims to link at-risk veterans to alcohol help

Summary

This study tested a program called SLAC that helps Veterans who drink heavily and have mental health issues like PTSD or depression get connected to alcohol care. 140 Veterans from VA primary care took part. The goal was to see if the program is practical and liked by Veterans and doctors, and if it leads to more people getting help for their drinking.
