Skin cancer survivors: two cream combo may cut future risk
NCT ID NCT04091022
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether applying two FDA-approved creams (diclofenac and DFMO) to the skin can prevent new non-melanoma skin cancers in people who have already had one. 64 adults with a history of skin cancer and current actinic keratoses (precancerous spots) used either the cream combination or a placebo for a period. The goal was to see if the creams reduce the number of new skin cancers compared to placebo.
